Due to California state budget cuts, the “reliably rustic” accommodations at Bothe Napa Valley State Park will not be available for the festival. However, there are a number of very lovely local establishments making special offers to festival attendees and there are other places to camp (see list below) if that’s your preference. Whichever you choose, please make your reservations soon. Places will fill up quickly.
Luxurious accommodations in American Canyon, less than 45 beautiful minutes from the heart of the action in St. Helena, with a special rate for festival goers of $89/night plus tax (single or double occupancy). Be sure to ask for the Ukulele Rate. In addition there’s a full-on spa and a wonderful restaurant serving local organic foods. Mention the ‘ukulele festival and get a 10% discount on spa services (15% if you’re staying at the hotel). (Gaia has removed the two-night minmum stay requirement.)
Everything you’d expect from the Marriott and more–such as the Amadaeus Spa and Salon and complimentary daily wine tasting–right in Napa. A very generous discount to festival goers of $100 brings the rate down to less than $200/night, with no minumum stay required, and no cancellation penalties. To qualify for this rate, reservations must be made by August 24.
Luxury unsurpassed in Yountville, home of the French Laundry, Bouchon, Bistro Jeanty, and other world- renowned dining establishments. And for festival attendees, the Yountville Inn is offering $50 off for mentioning the festival. Two-night minimum required.
THIS JUST IN: It turns out that Pacific Union College (PUC), just up the hill and about 10 minutes away from St. Helena, rents rooms in its residence halls to “guests.” PUC is a Seventh Day Adventist college so it is important to note that smoking and alcohol are not allowed anywhere on the campus. But, if you can live within those parameters, and honor the traditions of the school, there are some great deals to be had, starting at about $71/night for single occupancy. Click here for more information.
AND, The Center for Health at the St. Helena Hospital (about 5 minutes away) also has rooms available for out-of-town guests for $149 a night. And, what a view! Click here for more information
Calistoga, about 10 miles further up the road, is also a very good bet and fun town to stay in. This link will get you to a website where you can check availability through-out town in a variety of price ranges.
